Keeping Our Cats Safe with Cat Enclosure Cage

Keeping Our Cats Safe with Cat Enclosure Cage

Keeping your cat safe should be as much priority as any other family member. It has always been my opinion that if you are not willing to take this pet in as part of the family then it is probably better to not have any pets at all. Always do your due diligence on any type of pet before you adopt or purchase your new addition to the family.

Outdoor Cat Enclosures And Cat Runs High Quality Pet

Cats are a very good choice for a pet, they are cute, cuddly and mysterious. Unfortunately there are a lot of misconceptions out there about our friend the cat. Some of these threaten their very safety and their well being.

Yes cats are very good mousers indeed! This is a proven fact as they are natural hunters. Because of this we tend to pick up a cat or 2 for outside and put them on rodent patrol. Well I will not argue that this does not work because it does it keeps the mice and other pesky rodents away. What else it does do though is puts our cats life in danger against all the other larger animals out there that are also natural hunters, such as coyotes, bears large dogs all kinds depending on where you live.

Not only that, cats are NOT a wild animal, that's right, they are not. This comes as a surprise to most people, but it is true. They have come a long long way from wild and are not meant to be outside in extreme heat or freezing temperatures. Just like you and I they need to be sheltered from the weather and from other dangers.  Outdoor cats can expect to have a life expectancy much shorter than that of an indoor cat. However an indoor cat also needs fresh air and fresh grass.

What we have done for our out door cat is we put a pet door in the side of the garage so he is in a warm and safe place whenever he needs to. Inside he has a comfy bed and toys to play with it is great. He does a lot out there to keep the rodents away and I appreciate it and want to keep happy, healthy and alive.

For our indoor kitty we have a leash that we use periodically to take him for walks and it gives us some much needed exercise too. Why not, you would walk your dog right? Also we recently added an outdoor cat enclosure for our special kitty. What we did was bought a second hand dog run and covered the top with chainlink. Ultimately we ended up making a kitty door from one room of our house leading outside into his pen. This gives me peace of mind knowing that he can come and go and all the while he is safe. Of course I lock him in at night.

Just think about it, it may sound silly to you at first but a cat enclosure is the way to go. I know my kitty sure loves it and is a much happier and relaxed cat. Look it up online and get all kinds of ideas on how you too can enjoy an enclosure for your pet, there is even some ideas for apartment living. Love your cat and he/she will love you back.
